Next, let’s talk about the mechanics of your batting stance, or the way you stand as you wait for your pitch. The batting stance is synonymous with the “athletic stance”. Begin by separating your feet a few inches wider than shoulder width apart. Next come off your heels and add a slight bend to your knees. This will help you to explode to the ball better. Your arms should be relaxed with your elbows in the shape of an upside-down V and the knob of the bat should be pointed towards the opposing batters box. You should be relaxed as if there is no tension in your body.
As the pitcher delvers the ball, begin your load which generates you rhythm. The load consists of taking your hands back 2-4 inches and stepping out towards the pitcher with your front foot 4-6 inches.
When a good pitch enters the strike zone try to hit the ball. Dive the baseball strike zone into three parts, L for left, C for center, and R for Right. When the pitch enters one of those zones, turn you backside, drive your hands to proper field, and finish high. This will help maximize you power to each field.
